VIDEO PRODUCER/HOST
Legit.ng, a leading digital media in Nigeria and the biggest Facebook publisher in Africa, is looking for an experienced Video Producer/Host to join our video department.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generating ideas, sourcing and researching stories for our video platforms according to our content strategy.
  • Monitoring trending stories on social media.
  • Shooting videos in the field/studio environment alongside a camera operator.
  • Conducting interviews and writing scripts for your videos.
  • Writing and recording voice overs for your videos.
  • Working alongside a video editor during the editing process.
  • Overseeing all stages of production and post-production of your videos as a complete package.
  • Ensuring your videos adhere to the highest journalistic standards, Legit.ng editorial policies and applicable Nigerian laws.
  • Generating ideas for new topics/formats/shows for our platforms.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a video journalist/producer/host (TV, film, online video) in the areas of current affairs, human interest stories, documentary. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Perfect writing skills; narration and good grammar.
  • Great editorial judgment and news monitoring skills.
  • Impeccable communication and interviewing skills: both written and verbal.
  • Must be a self-driven individual with a strong desire to constantly learn, adapt and work under minimal supervision.
  • Must be a strategic and analytical thinker.
  • Must be able to use social media effectively.
  • High school diploma; degree in journalism, media, film or relevant field is a plus.
